Part of Salford City College Group

We're thrilled to announce that Apprenticeships at Salford City College have been awarded the Dyslexia Aware Consortium Quality Mark (DACQM)

This prestigious recognition highlights our commitment to supporting apprentices with dyslexia.

Accreditors praised our strengths:

1. Dyslexia, along with other neurodiverse differences are clearly understood throughout the college. The dyslexia awareness award had been expertly driven by the Functional Skills Team Leader, but the ethos flows throughout the college and is embedded in the college’s procedures, ensuring that this excellent practice is future proof.

2. The working environment is conducive to the sharing of good practice, and development and innovation of working practice is encouraged.

3. Through the assistance of Cognisist, apprentices’ needs are accurately identified during the initial stage of the apprenticeship.

4. Excellent communication pathways throughout the college.

5. Clear collegiate working with an embedded understanding of Dyslexia Aware

practice.

We're immensely proud of this achievement and our dedication to supporting apprentices with dyslexia.
